Born just 13 months apart, Alyssa and Gisele have been each other’s closest friends since childhood. They also have side-by-side jersey numbers at Angel City FC! Alyssa reps #21 while Gisele wears #20.
Third Soccer Sister
Alyssa and Gisele have a younger sister named Zoe, a soccer star. Zoe Thompson plays for Tudela FC and was recently called up to the U14 West Regional Mini-Camp. Will we see a third ACFC sister?
Third-Generation Angelenos
Alyssa and Gisele have deep roots in Los Angeles, being third-generation residents of the city.

In addition to being sisters and teammates, the duo are also roommates! They joke about who is, or is not, doing the dishes.
Next Stop: Hollywood?
Alyssa and Gisele made a cameo appearance in the Jennifer Garner Netflix movie, “Family Switch” as the “Switchblade Sisters.” Remember, Jen Garner is an ACFC investor!
National Team Eligibility
While Alyssa and Gisele Thompson are both called to the USWNT, they are eligible to represent multiple national teams because of their parents’ multicultural heritage.
Parental Athletes
When you have three soccer stars in one family, one has to ask, who are their parents? Karen and Mario Thompson also have an athletic background, which is no surprise. Mario played basketball, football, and ran track in high school and college, while Karen played basketball.
