Olivia Moultrie has been setting and breaking records since she joined the pros at age 13. So let’s get to know her a bit better!
Two sisters
Olivia is the oldest of three; she has two younger sisters, Bella and Gabi. Both are athletes in their own right, playing soccer and basketball, respectively.
Athletic family
It’s no surprise that her sisters are athletes when you look a little higher up the family tree. Both of the Moultrie parents were student-athletes. Dad K.C. was a basketball player, and mom Jessica got the soccer ball rolling for her daughters.
Family First
Moultrie couldn’t have gotten where she is without a hugely supportive family. Though they relocated to Oregon when the Thorns came calling, they were even prepared to move all the way to France to get Olivia her professional playing time.
She’s Got Wings
One of Moultrie’s earliest and most consistent brand deals has been with Red Bull. This young player loves the energy drink so much that she can sometimes be spotted wearing a necklace with the logo.
Rolex
Moultrie has a two-year-old Shih Tzu named Rolex. Rolex loves to dress up and snuggle—follow him on his adventures on Instagram! (@rolexmoultrie)
She’s a Nike Girl
Not only is Moultrie sponsored by Nike now, but she has always been a Nike girl. She’s been sporting the brand since childhood and has made some of her best on-pitch memories in Nike boots.
LDS
Moultrie is a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints. She credits God for much of her success and hopes to use her platform to spread the word.
Bookworm
Off the pitch, Moultrie loves to read. She has posted a few of her current reads online and seems to favor romances. And being a Portland resident, she’s no stranger to Powell’s.
Lucky Number
Every soccerista knows how important your chosen number is—and Moultrie’s is extra special. She reps 13, the age she was when she turned pro.
Daddy’s Girl
Moultrie has a great relationship with all of her family, but especially her dad. She has even declared herself his mini-me.
Only for the Thorns
Though it may not seem like it, Moultrie has been playing professionally for seven years now—and it has been entirely with the Thorns. Not only that, but her contract has been extended to 2029, which means she will have been with the team for 10 years by the end of her current deal.
Double Vision
When not on the pitch, Moultrie wears glasses! Clearly, contacts don’t hold her back from putting her best foot forward on the field.
First Insta post
Finally, and this one just proves what Olivia Moultrie has always been about, her first Instagram post. In June of 2016, when she just 11 years old, Moultrie posted a video displaying her incredible ball handling skills.
