Accra Lions came from a goal down to beat Basake Holy Stars to boost their survival chances in the Ghana Premier League.Second half strikes from Musa Hamzata and Lucky Nwafor cancelled an early goal from Prince Tweneboah as Lions made a winning return to the Accra Sports Stadium.Following a quick start to the game, Tweneboah was awarded a penalty after he was impeded in the box by Richard Agyen. The winger made no mistake from the spot, sending the ball right through the middle to give the visitors the lead after four minutes.Accra Lions were quickly awoken from their slumber, with the hosts pushing for a leveller.Halfway through the first half, Accra Lions midfielder Jacob Awoute thought he had won a penalty after being fouled in the box but referee Nathan Annaful waved played on.Just before half, Hamzata came close with a header after meeting a corner kick from Fuzy Talyor.After the break, coach Rainer Kraft made three changes, bringing on experienced midfielders Seidu Sadat and Lawrence Setordjie as well as striker Benard Kesse.Moments later, Kesse run down the left, sending in a cross which found Edmund Amakye, whose rebounded effort fell to Hamzata, only for the defender to miss by inches.With 20 minutes remaining, Hamzata finally pulled one back through the defender, who powered home from outside the box.Five minutes later, a fluid play from the hosts, saw Fuzy Taylor send in a cross which was met by Nwafor to give the hosts a deserving victory.Meanwhile, late in the game, goalkeeper Daniel Afful produced a spectacular save to deny the visitors.
