This year was thrilling with loads of youth talent spreading from all across the nation. Will any clubs from the year before repeat on this year’s list? Or will some not be listed at all? Let’s take a look at the top 10 girls youth soccer clubs for this year.
1. Mtn. View Los Altos SC (Los Altos, CA)
Success swept through the Mountain View Los Altos Girls’ Soccer Club this year as the U16 squad rang in an ECNL national championship. From the same squad, three players committed to high-ranked colleges such as Santa Clara University, the University of Kentucky, and UC Berkeley. Even in the 2024-2025 year, a few players were called up to the US Youth National Team. There’s no doubt MVLA has proven itself to be a top-tier youth program. It will be exciting to see all the talent coming out of MVLA and making waves at the collegiate and, eventually, at the professional level.
2. Slammers FC HB Koge (Costa Mesa, CA)
Having a connection to the Danish professional squad sure helps give access to top players to potentially make their way to play overseas. With that, the Slammers program has asserted itself as one of the most dominant girls’ youth soccer programs in the nation. This year, the U18/19 team secured the ECNL championship, marking the team’s success in lifting the trophy 2 times in the last 3 years. Even the young age groups showed out with U13, resulting as a finalist for the ECNL title. Such achievements are nothing new, and the impressive nature of the Slammers program out of Costa Mesa continues to garner much well-deserved attention.
3. Real Colorado (Highlands Ranch, CO)
Real Colorado is no stranger to producing quality players who eventually take their talents to high collegiate and professional programs. In 2025, the U17 team lifted the ECNL trophy after falling short two consecutive times the two years before. With a strong history of preparing and guiding players towards skillful development, it will be interesting to see if Real Colorado can secure more national titles.
4. Michigan Hawks (Livonia, MI)
Instilling a “sisterhood” environment sure allows players to feel united and important to the program. Strong players, who make collegiate and professional careers for themselves, have come from the Michigan Hawks program. The Michigan Hawks sent 5 teams to the ECNL nationals this year. The U15 squad was crowned champions, while the U14 squad fell just short and ended their run as national finalists.
5. FC Bay Area (San Jose, CA)
While showing great commitment to their players, the FC Bay Area program is likely to see growth with the recent partnership with the NWSL squad Bay FC. Many high-quality players branch out from FC Bay Area and play in nearby highly ranked college programs. Although this year the U15 team fell short to the Michigan Hawks in the ECNL Championship, the promise and professionalism of this program are only going to elevate the game of girls’ and women’s soccer.
6. Virginia Development Academy (Manassas, VA)
Just last month, the Virginia Development Academy announced it would join the pre-/semi-professional USL W League. With that, players will have a closer connection and more exposure to strong collegiate and professional outlets. There are impressive teams in the VDA, such as the U17 squad. In this year’s ECNL National Semifinals, VDA U17 battled in a tough match against the Michigan Hawks. Both teams fought until the end, where VDA advanced 5-4 on penalties. Soccer fans should be intrigued as to how the VDA’s involvement with the USL W League works out and progresses players upward. Keep an eye out for how VDA shows out in the USL W League!
7. FC Stars of Massachusetts (Acton, MA)
FC Stars of Massachusetts has emerged as a high-quality girls’ youth soccer program. With consecutive years of ranking top ten in the ECNL Girls Overall Club Champions standings, the progression of the program is something to admire. Almost 50 of their Class of 2025 players signed with D1-D3 colleges. The program continues to develop talent from the Massachusetts and New England areas. With the program’s recent efforts, there seems to be no dimming force against the Stars.
8. FC Dallas (Frisco, TX)
Speaking of progress, FC Dallas has shown great resilience in not falling down the ranks and rather climbing them. Many players leave the FC Dallas nest ready for competition, such as Trinity Armstrong. Even at the younger levels, FC Dallas has shown success. U11, U12, U13, U14, U16, and U19 all successfully secured the championship of the Dallas Cup. The program also does well to prepare its players both on and off the field with a curriculum known as “FCD Way.” We should be eager to witness the growth of this excellent program and the players who will carry their skills to college or professional squads.
9. Solar Soccer Club (Dallas, TX)
Solar Soccer Club has seen a lot of success lately with top-rankings and alumni activity. The program, for both girls and boys, continues to achieve top-ten rankings in the Texas Conference of the ECNL. In this year’s NCAA Women’s College Cup Final Four, Solar Soccer Club had 10 participating alumni which was the most from any ECNL club. Alumni Jaedyn Shaw has become a household name ever since her impact for the USWNT and her most recent victory of the NWSL Championship with Gotham. Us soccer fans can give thanks to the Solar Soccer Club for helping Shaw develop into the electric player that she is.
10. Tophat SC (GA Gold) – Atlanta, GA
This year brought many achievements for the Tophat SC GA Gold program. Their high ranking did not change but something special that happened this year was seeing players Brynn Buchanan and Sydney Eaton of the Tophat 11 GA Gold team be invited to the USYNT camp last month. Many of the teams in the program did well this year, including U15, U16, and the 09 teams. These three teams achieved first place in the 2025 Girls Academy Champions Cup Finals.
