Brenden Aaronson is quickly becoming one of Leeds United’s top performers this season.
Aaronson scored his second goal of the season on Sunday in the Lilywhites’ 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United. The U.S. men’s national team attacker now has three goal contributions in his last six matches for the Yorkshire club.
Following a goal-less fist half, Aaronson broke the deadlock after the hour mark. He raced upfield before cutting between Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro and slotting into the back of the net.
However, the lead was short-lived as Matheus Cunha equalized for the Red Devils three minutes later to earn Ruben Amorim’s squad a share of the spoils.
Aaronson played the full 90 minutes in the match, continuing to rack up the minutes during a frantic festive period.
Leeds United next travels to Newcastle United on Wednesday before visiting Derby County in FA Cup play on Jan. 11.
