After joining from Club Brugge last summer, Thiago’s debut campaign at Brentford was hampered by injuries, limiting him to just one league start. Fast forward to this season, and the 24-year-old has completely transformed his fortunes with an impressive 18 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Currently sitting as the Premier League’s second-highest scorer, Thiago has been instrumental in Brentford’s push for European qualification. The Bees are just two points behind sixth-placed Liverpool, and the Brazilian’s clinical finishing has been central to their ambitions.

Chelsea won’t have an easy ride securing Thiago’s services. Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also circling, attracted by his explosive form. Brentford have moved to protect their asset with a new contract running until 2031, though this hasn’t deterred Europe’s elite clubs.
