Emmanuel Addai has opened up on his dreams of playing for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
The FK Qarabag forward is yet to receive an invite from the technical handlers of the Black Stars despite his form for the Azerbaijani giants.
Addai remains the only Ghanaian player to score in the UEFA Champions League this season, and helped his club reach the knockout round before they were eliminated by Newcastle United.
Speaking to Tv3 on his Black Stars ambition, Addai stated his greatest legacy will be representing Ghana and winning trophies with the Black Stars.
“No, I haven’t had any contact yet [with the Black Stars],” he told 3Sports. “But I believe they’ve seen my performances. Everything happens in God’s time. I’m not in a hurry.”
“I really want to represent Ghana because I love my country. I grew up watching Ghana lose finals, and I want to help bring joy to my people.”
“I want to be remembered not just for playing abroad but for doing something meaningful for Ghana because I really love Ghana.”
Addai has netted four goals across all competitions this season for FK Qarabag.
