Erling Haaland’s agent has played down reports of a potential move to Barcelona.
Haaland has been named as a potential transfer target for Barcelona during the club’s current presidential elections. The Norwegian’s name has been mentioned as an option, as the candidates look to win votes.
However, Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has insisted there has been no contact from the Spanish side.
She insisted that Haaland remains ‘very happy’ at Manchester City having signed a long-term contract in January of last year. Haaland’s deal at the Etihad expires in 2034.
“We have a lot of respect and admiration for Barcelona, but there hasn’t been any contact whatsoever — with Erling Haaland or with Barcelona’s management, regarding potential transfer targets,” Pimenta told El Chiringuito TV.
“Also, because the player renewed his contract a few months ago, he’s very happy at Manchester City.
“Everything is going very well for him and we really have nothing to discuss about a transfer when everything is so good at City.”
