Chelsea are preparing a formal offer to sign Ivorian midfielder Christ Inao Oulaï from Trabzonspor, per Turkish transfer insider Ekrem Konur — and the comparisons to Manchester City icon Yaya Touré are already flying.
Who Is Christ Inao Oulaï?
At just 19, Oulaï has been nothing short of electric since joining Trabzonspor from SC Bastia last summer. The teenage sensation has racked up six goal contributions in 21 appearances, helping Fatih Tekke’s side to an impressive run of ten wins from their last 13 matches.
His talent didn’t just show in domestic football either. At December’s Africa Cup of Nations, Oulaï was a standout for the Ivory Coast Elephants, helping them reach the quarter-finals before a Mohamed Salah-inspired Egypt ended their run.
The Transfer Race Is Heating Up
Chelsea aren’t alone. West Ham, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Galatasaray are all reportedly chasing the six-cap international — meaning the Blues face a genuine battle to land their man.
Trabzonspor hold the cards here. With Oulaï under contract until 2030, Konur reports the Turkish champions won’t entertain any bid below £43 million.
Does Chelsea Actually Need Him?
