Ricardo Pepi did not move to English Premier League side Fulham during the January Transfer Window, but is reportedly edging closer to a move for the summer.
Fulham has reportedly had a €40 million [$46 million] bid accepted from PSV for Pepi’s services, Dutch outlet ED reported Tuesday. Pepi would officially move to London this summer at the conclusion of the EPL and Eredivisie seasons.
The Cottagers were previously interested in Pepi over the winter, but were unable to seal a deal as PSV could not find a replacement for the American forward.
Pepi has returned to action this month after previously missing two months this season due to a broken arm. The former FC Dallas academy product has scored 13 goals in 27 appearances for Peter Bosz’s squad, helping PSV hold a firm grip on first place.
He originally joined PSV from Augsburg for €11 million ($17 million) after impressing on loan at FC Groningen. Pepi has netted 39 goals in 95 appearances for PSV, being part of two league title-winning squads.
A move to Fulham would link Pepi up with U.S. men’s national team teammate Antonee Robinson, who recently made his 150th EPL appearance for the Cottagers last weekend.
