Black Maidens coach Joe Nana Adarkwa says his side is fully prepared and determined to secure victory ahead of their FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Togo.

The first leg is set for Sunday, April 12, at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Adarkwa expressed confidence in his team’s preparation, revealing they have spent several weeks in camp fine-tuning for the crucial encounter.

“Concerning our preparation, everything is going on well. We’ve been there for almost one month, two weeks. Things are going very, very well. So we are okay with everything,” he said.

Despite limited knowledge of their opponents, the coach made his intentions clear, stressing the team’s ambition to continue Ghana’s strong tradition at this level.

“We are coming to the game like wounded lions. Because Maidens, our legacy all the time is to qualify to the World Cup. So we want to follow that footstep. We are going to win the match and qualify to the next stage.”

He added that morale within the squad remains high, with both players and technical staff eager to deliver.

“We are happy here in terms of everything. Our technical staff are happy too. So we can’t wait to get into the World Cup. We are going to take every match seriously and get there.”

The return leg will be played on April 18 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
