Chelsea and Manchester United are prepared to battle it out to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott this summer.
Scott has turned the heads of Premier League rivals with a series of impressive performances on the south coast.
The 22-year-old has scored three goals in the Premier League for a Cherries team chasing European football for the first time, and earned his first call-up by England in November. Scott has also drawn the third-most fouls in the division this season (53).
Chelsea and Manchester United have checked in on his progress, with both exploring a deal to sign the Guernsey-born midfielder.
Caught Offside are reporting that Bournemouth value Scott in excess of £50m, with the Cherries braced for more interest in their leading talent.
Bournemouth have brought in over £148m from the sales of Milos Kerkez, Ilia Zabaryni, Dean Huijsen and Dango Ouattara last summer, before Antoine Semenyo’s £62.5m sale was sanctioned in January.
