With the 2026 season in full effect, we have already seen an amazing amount of talent on full display across the league. From the inaugural squads to former league leaders, the stat list so far is an exciting tale that can be telling of what’s to come as the season progresses. Let’s see how the stat list is looking so far.
Saves
The goalkeeper at the top of the list is Claudia Dickey for Seattle Reign, with 27 total saves in 7 games played. Yet, there are two tied at second with 25 saves in 6 games played: Jordan Bloomer (LOU) and Abby Smith (DEN). Despite Denver’s slow start to the season, it’s cool to see Abby Smith doing the most she can at the goal line for the team’s inaugural season.
Shots
Leading at the top is a familiar name in the league, Barbra Banda. In only 7 games played, she has 31 shots. Following just behind is Trinity Rodman with 22 shots in 8 games played. Then tied for third is Manaka Matsukubo and Rose Lavelle with 20 shots. All these players are fierce competitors that are usually behind an attack on goal. It will be interesting to see how this list shakes up as the season continues.
Shots on Goal
Similar to the shots list, Banda and Rodman hold the top two spots of this list as well. Banda has 20 shots on goal, while Rodman has 13. Just behind Rodman though, is Ashley Sanchez (NC) with 10 shots on goal. Sanchez has surely started the 2026 season off with aggression and flair. Despite NC Courage being outside the top 5 in the league standings, Sanchez is a force that can help the team take an upward trajectory.
Assists
Without the assists, the goals wouldn’t happen! The players on the list are all tied up at 3 assists each. It all comes down to how many games each player has played in. Leading the way as of now is Emma Sears with 3 assists in only 5 games played. Those following are Rosemonde Kouassi (WAS), Maria Eduarda Rodriguez Silva (SD), Ryan Williams (NC), and Trinity Rodman (WAS).
Goals
The list that everyone highlights is finally here, and you won’t be surprised. Barbra Banda leads the way with 7 goals in 7 games played. Isn’t she unreal?! But, not too far behind is Ashley Sanchez with 5 goals in 7 games played. Even though she’s known for excellent skill in the midfield area, she has surely proven to be an exceptional finisher as well. The bottom three of the top five list behind Sanchez are tied at 3 goals. It’s Lia Godfrey (SD), Kiki Van Zanten (HOU), and Melissa Kossler (DEN).
