Ghana international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is expected to part ways with SC Freiburg at the end of the season, according to reports from German outlet KICKER.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined Freiburg from FC St. Pauli in the summer of 2022 and quickly became an important figure at the Europa-Park Stadion during his debut Bundesliga campaign.

However, his progress was severely disrupted by a recurring anterior cruciate ligament injury, which sidelined him for an extended period and halted what had been a promising start to his career with the club.

Reports indicate that Kyereh will not feature again for Freiburg before the end of the current season, with the Ghanaian now looking to pursue a fresh challenge ahead of the next campaign.

Despite his injury struggles, the former VfL Wolfsburg U17 player is expected to attract interest from several clubs during the summer transfer window following his impressive return to action with Freiburg’s U23 side in the Regionalliga Southwest.

Kyereh has been one of the standout performers for the reserve team since regaining fitness, raising hopes of a strong comeback at both club and international level.

The midfielder has earned 18 caps for the Ghana national team, the Ghana national football team, and has previously expressed his ambition to represent the country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
