Ibrahima Konate is deciding between four clubs as the centre-back prepares to leave Liverpool.
Konate is set to leave Liverpool as a free agent after failing to agree terms on a new contract. The French centre-back and Liverpool have now ended negotiations, with Konate to leave on a free transfer.
Real Madrid had expressed interest in signing Konate, but cooled their pursuit last winter. The Spanish side withdrew interest out of respect for their relationship with Liverpool, amid fractures following the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold last summer.
However, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Real could now return after Konate’s failure to reach new terms at Anfield.
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also potential suitors of the 27-year-old, who made 183 appearances for the Reds across five seasons.
Barcelona remain determined to sign a centre-back this summer and could see Konate as an ideal option, as the Catalans pour funds into pursuits of Anthony Gordon and Julian Alvarez.
Barcelona are close to signing Gordon from Newcastle for a fee of £69m and have submitted an opening offer of around £85m for Atletico Madrid striker Alvarez.
