This week has seen the annual return of the news that Chelsea want to sell Trevoh Chalobah.
The Blues have interest from Serie A sides Como and Inter, and Fabrizio Romano has added more meat to the skeleton of the story this afternoon. The Italian transfer insider says that Chelsea value Chalobah at €40m. They probably would have sold him for half that a few years ago – it shows what a positive impression he’s made as he’s played a lot under BlueCo (despite their best efforts to ditch him on multiple occasions).
Serie A sides will struggle to pay Chelsea’s large asking price

€40m is a good fee for Chalobah, although it’s slightly tricky to imagine Serie A sides paying that. It would make him Como’s biggest ever signing, and even Inter don’t regularly spend that much.
We can imagine a scenario where Chalobah ends up going for €30m plus €10m in bonuses and add-ons.
Meanwhile Chelsea will continue working on a deal for a centre back to replace the academy product next season.
In other news…
The big transfer news of the weekend was that Chelsea are moving for Granit Xhaka of Sunderland, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the interest.
This followed the initial rumours which spread yesterday claiming that it was going to be a €30m bid for the midfielder – which we said would be a crazy sum.
