The much-anticipated encounter is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Stade El Abir Zaouli, with kick-off set for 4:00 pm.
The Black Queens enter the fixture with renewed confidence after securing a 1-0 victory over Ivory Coast in their opening pre-tournament friendly. Sharon Sampson scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute, handing Ghana a positive start to their WAFCON preparations.
The meeting with Nigeria is expected to pose a much tougher challenge as the head coach and his technical team continue to assess the squad, improve team chemistry, and fine-tune their tactics ahead of the continental tournament.
The fixture also renews a historic rivalry between two of Africas biggest womens football nations, with both Ghana and Nigeria aiming to build momentum and secure a morale-boosting result before the WAFCON campaign begins.
The Black Queens, who claimed a bronze medal at the previous edition of the tournament, have been drawn in Group D alongside Cape Verde, Cameroon and Mali as they target another strong showing on the continental stage.
