DENVER — Sixteen games into the Nick Cushing’s tenure as head coach of the Denver Summit — and of the team’s existence — he has tweaked his opinion about attacking soccer.

“For fifteen years I’ve looked at it as chances and opportunities,” Cushing said after the Summit’s disappointing, 1-1 home draw with expansion sisters Boston Legacy FC on Sunday night. “Now I look at it as chances, opportunities and moments. And those moments are the times that we should create an opportunity or a chance.”

The Summit should have created more chances on Sunday.
