Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Chelsea forward Pedro Neto as a backup target should their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho fall through, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Neto’s Chelsea Journey

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea after standout performances at Wolverhampton Wanderers. In his first season at Stamford Bridge, he helped fire the Blues to Club World Cup and Conference League glory, chipping in with 17 goal contributions. Last term he was even more prolific in open play, netting 10 goals and laying on 10 assists, form that earned him a spot in Portugal’s World Cup squad.

A Three-Way Transfer Puzzle

Romano’s update paints a genuinely tangled picture. Tottenham are pushing hard for Savinho as their priority target, but Neto sits right behind him on their list. Meanwhile, Manchester City have gone a step further, opening direct talks with Neto’s representatives in case Savinho does move to North London. Chelsea’s valuation of the player could ultimately decide which domino falls first.

The Numbers Behind the Deal

Transfermarkt values Neto at around £51m, and he’s tied to Chelsea until 2031 — giving the Blues serious leverage if they’re pushed into a sale. On the pitch, he’s a left-footed, two-footed threat comfortable on either wing, blending pace, strength and dribbling with a genuine work rate off the ball.
