Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren believes Ghana must find the right balance between defence and attack if they are to overcome Malawi in their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal on Sunday.The Swedish tactician acknowledged the quality of Malawi’s attacking players but insisted Ghana cannot afford to abandon their own style of play.”They are a pretty good, hard-working group,” Bjorkegren said. “They have two world-class attackers, but we can’t just defend with 11 players.”Instead, the Black Queens coach wants his side to remain organised while posing a threat at the other end.”We need to find a balance, do what we can to defend against them, but also believe in ourselves, keep the ball and take care of our chances a little better than we have done so far.”Bjorkegren believes Ghana’s performances have improved as the tournament has progressed, pointing to the second half against Cameroon and the display against Mali as signs the team is moving in the right direction.”We have to play our game, not just react to theirs.”
