Durham sign defender McComasky – WSL Full-Time

Durham have completed the signing of versatile defender Madison McComasky ahead of the new season.

The Wildcats announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website last night.

The 26-year-old Australian defender joins Durham after a year playing her football in the American Gainbridge Super League with Fort Lauderdale United. McComasky was a strong performer for FTL UTD in 2025 despite the club’s challenging campaign which saw them finish in ninth place in the table.

Prior to her time Stateside, McComasky played her football back home in her native Australia with Macarthur Rams, Canberra United and Western Sydney Wanderers. She gained experience of playing Ninja A-League football with the latter two clubs. She clocked up a number of appearances at the top level in Australia.

After joining Durham, McComasky said “I’m really excited to be here at Durham, everyone so far has been so nice and welcoming.

“I know this is a fantastic opportunity to be playing in this league and I can’t wait to get started.”

McComasky is Durham’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. She will link-up with the team as they continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the new Barclays WSL2 campaign which kicks-off next month.
