A busy day in a busy week at Chelsea continues, and we’ve now got another completed deal.

Teenage talent Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has just had his loan to Portsmouth confirmed by the club on their website.

Their manager John Mousinho called the winger “a very talented young player with bags of potential,” and noted that the youngster “fits into the way we want to play nicely.”

17 year old Kavuma-McQueen made his first team debut for the Blues last season when he came off the bench in the early rounds of the FA Cup as we beat Port Vale 7-0. He then signed his first senior contract at the start of this year. He also grabbed an assist in our preseason game against Western Sydney Wanderers recently.

The tricky winger can play on both flanks, and the fact he’s getting a Championship loan at his age shows how highly rated he is. Chelsea usually wait for players to be 18 or 19 before their first loan – clearly they’ve been convinced that the youngster will get plenty of minutes.

We can’t wait to see how he gets on with a season of senior football under his belt – we will be following Pompey closely this year!
