Hearts of Oak complete signing of former Hohoe United defender Prince Amevor




Hearts of Oak have completed the permanent signing of former Hohoe United right-back Prince Amevor, with the defender putting pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Phobians.The 24-year-old right-back joins Hearts of Oak as a free agent following Hohoe United’s withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League, which granted all registered players free agent status.Amevor is a versatile full-back who can operate on either flank, earning a reputation as an attacking-minded defender with speed and quality in the final third.He made 26 appearances for Hohoe United during the 2025/26 season . His arrival adds depth to Hearts’ defensive department, with the club continuing to strengthen under head coach Nebojsa Kapor.Amevor’s signing continues Hearts of Oak’s recruitment drive ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season. The Phobians have been active in the transfer market, with several new additions already confirmed as they build a squad capable of challenging for honours.With the new season approaching, Hearts of Oak will be looking to integrate their new signings as they prepare for the Democracy Cup clash against Asante Kotoko on August 28, followed by the start of the Ghana Premier League campaign.Amevor will be expected to compete for a starting spot at right-back and provide competition for the Phobians’ defensive options as they aim to improve on their previous season’s performance.
