Charlton Athletic have completed the permanent signing of West Ham United midfielder Keira Flannery.
The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 20-year-old has signed a record-breaking three-year deal with The Addicks.
Flannery returns to Charlton Athletic after enjoying a successful loan spell with the club last season. The midfielder made 22 appearances for the South East Londoners in Barclays WSL2, helping the club to win a first promotion to the top flight via an end of season play-off. Flannery hugely impressed in her initial spell at The Valley and she could again play a key role in the side this term.
On the international stage, Flannery has represented England at various youth levels up to and including Under-19 level.
After joining Charlton Athletic on a permanent basis, Flannery said “I can’t wait to get started. I loved my time here, I love the girls and the staff. To be back at The Valley and Sparrows Lane, it’s great, I can’t wait, I am really excited.
“I learnt a lot last year. I can’t wait to keep learning, improving and building on what we did last year.”
“It was a no-brainer, to stay, my time here was brilliant, I couldn’t have asked for more.”
Flannery is Charlton Athletic’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
