Chelsea have generated close to half a billion euros from outgoing transfers alone this summer, according to 433, in a window that has seen the club move on eighteen separate players between permanent sales and loan departures.

The headline departures at the Bridge
Enzo Fernandez’s move to Manchester City tops the list by some distance, generating €145 million, comfortably a British transfer record and a fee that reflects everything discussed around his exit this window, from his output on the pitch to the baggage that came with it.
Behind that, Andrey Santos leaving for Manchester United brought in €56.3 million plus a further €2.3 million in add-ons, while Nicolas Jackson’s move to Aston Villa was worth €55.5 million plus €20.5 million in potential add-ons, a genuinely substantial package for a striker who never fully established himself as first choice at Stamford Bridge.
Marc Cucurella’s exit to Real Madrid brought in €55 million plus €5 million, and Liam Delap’s switch to Nottingham Forest generated €52.5 million plus €5.8 million. Both were significant enough numbers on their own to headline most clubs’ entire transfer windows.

Trevoh Chalobah’s move to Como brought in €30 million plus €6 million, Tyrique George’s switch to Everton generated €21 million plus €7 million, and Marc Guiu’s departure for RB Leipzig was worth €15 million plus €2 million. Omari Kellyman (Strasbourg, €6 million), Jimmy-Jay Morgan (West Brom, €4.7 million) and Benoît Badiashile (Napoli, €3 million plus €1 million) round out the more significant permanent sales.
David Datro Fofana’s move to Servette brought in €2.5 million plus €1 million, and Dastan Satpaev’s loan to Burnley generated a €350,000 loan fee. Five further loans without an accompanying fee reported round out the outgoing list: Axel Disasi to Crystal Palace, Robert Sánchez to Como, Caleb Wiley to Preston, Mamadou Sarr to Real Sociedad, Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa, Filip Jørgensen to Strasbourg, and Dário Essugo also to Strasbourg.
What this means for Chelsea’s summer
Taken together, that is a genuinely extraordinary volume of business, and it goes a long way to explaining how Chelsea have been able to fund such an active window on the incoming side too. The Fernandez deal alone carried enough context and history to fill an article on its own, but the sheer number of squad players moved on, Chalobah, Kellyman, Morgan, Fofana, Satpaev among them, shows a club that has been ruthless about clearing out players who were never going to be part of Xabi Alonso’s plans.
Whether all of that business proves to be smart in the long run will only become clear over time, particularly with several of these deals including significant add-ons still to be earned. But as a pure summary of outgoing activity, few clubs in Europe will match what Chelsea have done this window.
