Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been recalled by England after both players missed out on head coach Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup 2026 squad.
Chelsea forward Palmer and Real Madrid wideman Alexander-Arnold return for the Three Lions’ opening Nations League fixtures, in which they host Spain, visit Croatia and play the Czech Republic home and away.
Manchester City forward Phil Foden remains out of the squad, which also features 18-year-old Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha and Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
England’s first competitive matches since their win over France in the third-place play-off at the World Cup start with their game against the reigning world champions at Wembley Stadium on September 26.
