Morgan Rogers has had a brilliant start to life as a Chelsea player, scoring and assisting multiple times in the opening wave of games to make everyone feel instantly more relaxed about the £117m fee paid to Aston Villa this summer to sign him.
He’s got an eye for goal, great physicality, and quickly has built a superb understanding with fellow attackers Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.
Rogers on becoming the best in the league – and then the world
“It was time for me to take that next step and I feel like I want to be seen as one of the best players in the Premier League, one of the best players in the world,” Rogers said to the club’s official website.
“I need to play with the best players in the world and compete with the best players in the world, and on that bigger stage, and I just feel Chelsea brings that different level of pressure of having to win and having to perform each game.”
We love that confidence, and from what we’ve seen he certainly has the potential to be one of the best in the league.
The world may be a stretch – but who are we to put limits on a player who clearly has so much talent still to unlock?
