The Serie A champions want to strengthen their attacking options and view Felix as a versatile candidate for one of the next two windows. Felix has admitted that a European comeback is on his mind, though he stressed there is no rush. He said he is happy in Saudi Arabia, and that a move could come at the end of this season or the next.
How Felix Rebuilt His Career at Al-Nassr
Once regarded as one of world football’s brightest prospects, Felix struggled to replicate his Benfica form at Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and during a loan at Barcelona. Al-Nassr have been the making of him. Last season he contributed 26 goals and 19 assists in 47 appearances, earned the Saudi Pro League Player of the Season award and helped his side win the title. He has started this campaign strongly too, with four goals and three assists in eight games.
Why Manchester United and Manchester City Are Interested
United reportedly considered a summer approach and are still searching for a flexible forward to add cutting edge. Felix’s ability to play in several attacking roles would suit Michael Carrick’s tactical approach.
City, meanwhile, face uncertainty following the Premier League’s ruling on the financial charges, which the club continues to contest. Even so, they remain active in the market. Maresca has no obvious deputy for Erling Haaland, and Felix would add competition alongside Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo and Jeremy Doku.
Our Take
A Premier League return would give Felix the chance to put right his disappointing spell at Chelsea, and United look the more natural fit given their need for attacking depth. Inter’s interest complicates matters, though, and Al-Nassr’s valuation remains unknown. With Felix so influential in Saudi Arabia, the club may prove reluctant sellers. Any deal looks more likely to be a 2027 story than a January one.
