Asante Kotoko assistant coach Hamza Obeng has lauded the performance of the team in their narrow victory over Karela United in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday. The Porcupine Warriors hosted the team from Tamale at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Aduana FC in their last outing. In the close contest that ensued between the two teams, an early strike from Isaac Agyemang was enough to secure all three points for the Reds.Speaking in a post-match interview, Hamza Obeng praised his players for executing the game plan for the matchday to merit the maximum points. It was a very difficult game. One thing Im happy with is that tactically they executed what we did in training, so for the technical team we are happy with how the boys stuck to our game plan, the Kotoko assistant coach said.Obeng continued, We are okay with the win, but we need to work harder going forward. The Week five victory has pushed Asante Kotoko to third position in the Ghana Premier League table.Karela United, on the other hand, sit in ninth position.
