Fenerbahce Monitor Alcaraz Situation
According to Football Insider, Fenerbahce have registered interest in the 23-year-old, whose Goodison Park contract expires next summer. The Argentine has barely featured under David Moyes, playing just five minutes of Premier League football across two appearances, yet the Toffees are reluctant to thin out their forward options without reinforcements arriving.
Why Alcaraz Has Fallen Down the Pecking Order
The Blues paid £13 million to make his move permanent in 2025 following a productive loan from Flamengo, hoping he would develop into a key creative presence. Injuries hampered his first full campaign, restricting him to six league starts, although his athleticism stood out as he topped the club’s sprints per 90.
This term, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s impressive form has made the attacking midfield role his own, leaving Alcaraz mostly on the bench.
Buy First, Sell Later at Everton
Moyes still needs depth, so a sale without a replacement makes little sense. Everton’s stance is therefore conditional: sign a new arrival and Alcaraz can go; fail, and keeping him until his deal runs out may be the safer route.
Our Take on Alcaraz’s Future
In my view, a move would suit everyone if Fenerbahce can guarantee regular football. At 23, Alcaraz needs minutes far more than a place among the substitutes, and his development is stalling on Merseyside.
However, cashing in purely because his contract is running down would be short-sighted. Any replacement must be capable of challenging for a starting spot rather than simply filling a squad number.
Alcaraz has not made himself undroppable, but he has never been given a sustained run either. The coming months will show whether Everton salvage value or lose him for nothing.
