Pitarch Yet to Decide on Real Madrid Future
Spanish outlet AS, relayed by Sport Witness, says the 19-year-old has made no final decision, though a loan is increasingly under consideration. Much depends on how Jose Mourinho uses him in the coming weeks.
Fulham pushed hard for Pitarch last summer, with Alvaro Arbeloa keen on the deal. Mourinho reportedly intervened to block it, convinced the youngster could contribute at the Bernabeu.
Mourinho’s Midfield Puzzle
Pitarch’s pre-season was hampered by a knee injury, but he returned strongly during the international break, playing 288 minutes across four games for Castilla and Spain Under-20s. He scored for his country and impressed in a derby against Atletico.
Mourinho is yet to settle on a regular double pivot, and Pitarch is among the few midfielders he has not properly tested.
Fulham’s Chance to Revive Interest
Pitarch would offer creativity and technical quality at Craven Cottage, while regular Premier League football could aid his development. Arbeloa’s future is a complication, though, as his departure would weaken Fulham’s pull.
In my view, Fulham make sense as a destination. A structured loan could give Pitarch the physical edge he needs, but his Madrid minutes over the next two months will decide everything.
