Here’s a look at some stats and minutiae following Week 26 of the 2026 NWSL season. We’ll keep evolving this space every week to try and keep you informed. Have an idea or an addition? Hit me @thedanlauletta on Bsky or X.
Before we get into it, here is a look at how the table stands. Note that the top seven teams — through the Portland Thorns — have clinched playoff berths, and each team from the Orlando Pride down has been eliminated.

All statistics reference regular season games only except where noted.
PLAYER STATS
-Croix Bethune now golds the single-season assist record all by herself. Bethune assisted on Vanessa DiBernardo’s game-winner for the Kansas City Current on Sunday, her 11th helper of the season. Cloé Lacasse of the Utah Royals remains on 10 and could still end the season with a share or all of the record. Tobin Heath set the record at 10 in 2016. Bethune matched it in 2024.
-Ashley Sanchez remains on 20 goals, tied for the single-season league record first established by Temwa Chawinga in 2024. Barbra Banda, the closest pursuer in the Golden Boot race with 17, is awaiting clearance to return to the United States due to medical restrictions from traveling to Uganda. Her status for this weekend is unclear.
-Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 143 consecutive regular season matches and 12,832 consecutive minutes. Both are league records. The streaks began June 26, 2021 while playing for the North Carolina Courage. (The unrounded number is due to a rain-shortened match in 2023.)
-No players made NWSL debuts last weekend.
-The 10/10 club may remain locked for another year. None of the three contenders made any headway on the league’s penultimate match day. Trinity Rodman and Cloé Lacasse remain closest to reaching the milestone. Rodman has 11G/8A while Lacasse is on 8G/10A. Pietra Tordin is at 8G/9A. However, Janine Sonis assisted on two Denver Summit goals and has joined the watch list with 12G/8A.
-All nine players to have played every minute this season moved within one week of an ironwoman season. The six field players are Kate Del Fava, Jessie Fleming, Kaleigh Kurtz, Tara Rudd, Kennedy Wesley and Ryan Williams. The other three — Angelina Anderson, Sandy MacIver and Kailen Sheridan — are goalkeepers.
TEAM STATS
-Kate Del Fava remains minute-perfect for the Royals, having played all 7,290 over 81 games since the team launched in 2024. Those are the longest streaks from the start of any expansion team.
-The Current, Angel City FC, Royals and Thorns all clinched playoff berths over the weekend. The Current wrapped up their fourth playoff spot and third in a row. Angel City’s is their third and first since 2023. The Royals are heading to the playoffs for the first time. The Thorns secured their 10th in a row and 12th all-time, both extensions of league records.
-Angel City broke their club record unbeaten streak with their ninth straight. The previous record was set in 2023, the other year the club reached the playoffs. Both streaks were set with interim coaches at the helm. Becki Tweed was interim coach in 2023.
-The San Diego Wave had their five-game win streak snapped by the Boston Legacy, leaving it tied for the club record established earlier this season. However, the draw makes six straight without defeat, and that ties the club record unbeaten run set early last season. On the individual front, Sandra Panos tied Leah Freeman with the five consecutive wins and Kailen Sheridan for six unbeaten.
-Ally Lemos made her 56th consecutive appearance for the Pride over the weekend. That ties Kerry Nadaner (then Abello)’s mark set from 2023-2025. Lemos began her streak Nov. 2, 2024, the final game of the Pride’s championship double season.
-The Current finished their home schedule 11-0-4, the second year in a row they have gone undefeated in the regular season at CPKC Stadium. No other team has or will finish unbeaten at home in either season. The Current are 22-0-6 at CPKC over the last two years, and 31-1-9 in the regular season since the stadium opened in 2024.
-The Houston Dash win over the Chicago Stars was the club’s 100th across all competitions since launching in 2014. That includes 87 regular season wins, eight Challenge Cup wins, three Fall Series wins, and two Summer Cup wins.
-That loss for the Stars was their 50th home loss in the regular season. They are 64-50-40 across five different home venues since 2013.
-Missed last week that Karlie Lema’s multi-assist game for Bay FC two weeks ago was the first in club history.
-Racing Louisville have still not kept a clean sheet this season.
