Chelsea were good against Man U, and there was even better news from the area behind the bench at Stamford Bridge.

There was a player on the Chelsea’s bench today that we weren’t expecting to see. Young defender Aaron Anselmino was spotted in his civvies behind the bench. That’s the first sighting of the youngster for a while.
“He’s not available yet,” Alonso said on Thursday when asked for an update on the Argentine.
“He’s had a few things, a few injuries. It will take a few weeks before he’s fully fit.”
Chelsea defender back at stadium ahead of return

“Aaron Anselmino was sat behind the Chelsea bench today. First time we’ve seen him in a while. Xabi Alonso indicated yesterday that when he eventually regains fitness, he will be in contention to play,” Daily Mail journalist Kieran Gill Tweeted after the game.
We still don’t expect Anselmino to play any minutes anytime soon. The switch to a back four means that we could move Josh Acheampong central and use Malo Gusto or Marco Palestra at right back if we need.
But still, Anselmino is just a couple of injuries or suspensions away from being a starter right now, so it’s good to know he will be back soon – in theory at least.
In other news…
Xabi Alonso was delighted with how his team had performed against Man U, and called it a “mature” showing from his boys.
In his press conference, the manager praised Estevao and explained that he had had to bite his tongue in the press conference in midweek.
