In this Decision Day edition of Anatomy of a Goal, we’re taking a look at Angel City FC’s first of four scores in their 4-1 thrashing of the Boston Legacy. It was Nealy Martin’s first-ever National Women’s Soccer League goal that put the home side on the board first.

The lead only lasted for 20 minutes, because Angel City allowed an equalizer just before halftime. Still, they scored three unanswered second-half goals to close out the win, securing a fifth-place finish in the regular season in the process.

The interesting thing about this goal is that the build-up technically kicks off with an Angel City turnover. Let’s check out the sequence in full.
