USMNT: McKenzie replaces injured Campbell on November roster

Mauricio Pochettino has been forced to make one replacement on his November U.S. Men’s National Team roster.

Mark McKenzie has been called into camp, replacing injured defender George Campbell, U.S. Soccer announced Friday. Campbell was forced to withdraw from action due to a groin injury suffered midweek with his club West Bromwich Albion.

Despite playing 45 minutes in a 1-1 EFL Championship draw with Southampton, Campbell will miss the opportunity to feature for a second-consecutive window.

The 27-year-old McKenzie has earned 30 caps to date with the USMNT and returns after not being called in for the September-October window. His last cap came in a 3-2 loss to Turkey in the USMNT’s final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage.

McKenzie joins 10 other rostered players who are CONCACAF Nations League champions, having won titles in 2019-20 and 2023-24.

At club level, McKenzie has went the distance in all nine of his Ligue 1 appearances for Toulouse this season. He has made 76 appearances in total for the club since moving from Belgian side Genk in August 2024.

The USMNT will face off with Haiti in the Nations League quarterfinals on November 14 and 17 respectively. Miami, Florida will host the first leg on Nov. 14 before the series shifts to Cincinnati, Ohio three days later.

It will be the first head-to-head matchup between the USMNT and Haiti since the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage.
