Zito plays down celebration talks ahead of Kotoko's Super Clash with Hearts of Oak
Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has cautioned against premature celebrations ahead of their Super Clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday. With five games left in the Ghana Premier League season, Kotoko sit ahead of their rivals with 50 points, five more than sixth-placed Hearts of Oak.The highly anticipated encounter is set to renew one of Ghanas fiercest football rivalries.Speaking during his pre-match interview, Zito acknowledged the strength of the Phobians, insisting the contest will be tightly fought. They are not a bad side, but sometimes a little bit of luck eluded them when they played, he said. I think its going to be a difficult game because Hearts and Kotoko are not like other clubs. On Sunday, it wont be an easy game for both clubs.Zito added that while his team will approach the clash with belief, the outcome will be settled only on the pitch. We are going in with a winning mentality. For that one, I cant hide it. The field will decide. You cannot predict a Hearts versus Kotoko game until the 90th minute and its over. The Super Clash will be a defining moment in both teams push for a strong finish to the season.
