Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a summer swoop for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma, with the Japanese star emerging as a serious target for Mikel Arteta’s side.
With the Gunners looking to inject fresh firepower into their wide attacking options, Mitoma has joined a growing shortlist of potential signings. According to Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are actively exploring alternatives to their primary targets, Rodrygo and Nico Williams, both of whom present financial hurdles in terms of wages and transfer fees.
Mitoma a Cheaper Yet Explosive Option?
While Rodrygo and Williams would cost upwards of £70 million and £49 million respectively, Mitoma could be available for around £50 million. With two years left on his current contract, Brighton might be open to negotiations—especially if the player expresses a desire to move.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed another impressive Premier League campaign, contributing 10 goals and four assists, and his pace, creativity, and relentless work rate could offer Arsenal a valuable weapon on the flanks.
