Former Asante Kotoko striker Obed Owusu believes the Porcupine Warriors should aim for the final of the CAF Confederation Cup this time around.Owusu said the club went far in their last campaign and sees no reason why they cant do even better this time. He urged the team to start preparations early and unite behind one goal, bringing the trophy home.”Last time we went in 2019 we reached the money zone so I will ask that this time around we will go to the final like they reached the FA Cup final. I will plead with them they should work hard the rest is all on them if everything is done it is all on them to deliver on the pitch the players and the technical team should be one so that we move forward. The last time we went we all saw what happened at the Baba Yara Stadium the stadium was full we were beating Zesco, Hilal ect we all saw how the feeling was at the Baba Yara,” as aired by Peace FM.”If they get the opportunity or whoever get the opportunity to be included in the squad for the CAF Confederation Cup I will ask that they start preparations now so that we lay our hands on the trophy. I got the opportunity but I couldnt win it so we are supporting them with prayers that as they prepare they will go to the final and lay their hands on the trophy,”Kotoko earned their CAF Confederation Cup ticket after a 2-1 FA Cup win against Golden Kick at the University of Ghana Stadium.
