The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo, has heaped praise on the Black Queens of Ghana for reaching the semi-final of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Speaking to Kessben FM in an interview, Mr. Addo stressed that it is important to commend the Queens for achieving the feat for the first time since 2016.
The Ghana FA Vice President is hoping that Ghana can overcome Morocco in the semi-final to advance to the final of the tournament.
“They showcased resilience to reach the semifinals of the competition. We pray the team beats Morocco to reach the finals of the tournament. They have done extremely well and need to be commended,” Mark Addo told Kessben FM.
The semi-final showdown between Ghana and Morocco is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm later tonight.
A win for Ghana will see the Black Queens reach the final of the WAFCON for the first time since 2006.
