CoinPoker has rolled out a new daily tournament aimed squarely at players who like to keep their buy-ins small. The Daily Dollar launched August 13 for just $1 a pop, guaranteeing $1,000 every day it runs, with Sundays bringing an even bigger version of the same idea.
A Dollar a Day Gets You a Real Shot at $1,000
The Daily Dollar started at 17:00 UTC on August 13 and now runs every day except Sunday, always for a $1 buy-in and a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool.
CoinPoker had only offered guarantees at this price point every so often in the past. Turning it into a daily event means there’s now a reliable, low-cost way into a decent prize pool no matter what day it is.
Sundays Bring a Bigger Prize Pool and a Trophy
On Sundays, the Daily Dollar gets swapped out for the Daily Dollar Sunday Edition, keeping the same $1 buy-in but stepping up the guarantee. It launched at $3,000, and after just one weekend, CoinPoker raised it again to $5,000.
CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck has already described the Sunday Edition as the smallest buy-in trophy event out there, a nod to the trophy that comes with winning it.
First Winner Beats the Guarantee and Makes History
The very first Daily Dollar Sunday Edition ran on August 16, drawing 3,740 entries from 2,375 different players, with 1,365 of those being re-entries. The total prize pool landed at $3,440, comfortably clearing the $3,000 guarantee.
Dnxx took the title from just three entries, walking away with $453.92, a 151-times return on the original $1 buy-in, and became the first-ever winner to earn a Daily Dollar Sunday Edition trophy.
That guarantee climbs again this coming Sunday, August 23, jumping roughly 66% up to $5,000.
A Trophy Cabinet Spot Usually Reserved for the Bigger Events
Every Sunday Edition winner gets a digital award added to their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet, a feature that shows off a player’s biggest wins on their public profile.
Up until now, that particular recognition had only gone to winners of CoinPoker’s larger flagship series. Having it attached to a $1 event is a nice touch for anyone who mostly plays at the smaller stakes.
You Don’t Even Need to Pay to Enter
There’s more than one way into the Daily Dollar besides the direct $1 buy-in. CoinPoker runs $0.10 satellites that hand out 25 tickets each, along with freerolls that give out 100 tickets each.
CoinPoker has also confirmed that just playing other micro-stakes tournaments can earn up to three Daily Dollar tickets a week, and those work for the Sunday Edition too. Two of those routes cost absolutely nothing.
Part of a Busy Stretch for CoinPoker
The Daily Dollar arrives while CoinPoker has plenty else going on. The CoinMillion crowned its third winner on August 10 with a $215 buy-in and $1 million guarantee, and it’s back for four Sundays in a row once the Global Online Poker Championship gets underway from September 6.
The GOPC itself starts August 23 and runs through the end of September, bringing a $50 million guarantee across the whole series.
For anyone wanting a little extra value on top of it all, CoinPoker’s 3-Bet Club membership adds boosted rewards and cheaper tournament entries for members.
