
Azerbaijani club Asta Mingachevir have announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Jonah Attuquaye in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old signed a deal to join Mingachevir for the 2025/26 season after leaving Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea.
The former Legon Cities player had returned to Ghana in January after ending his stay in Latvia with FK Auda.
However, he makes the move back to Europe following a short spell in the Ghana Premier League.
He started his career in the top division with the Berekum-based club before joining Legon Cities in 2020, spending three successful seasons with the Accra club.
Attuquaye becomes the second Ghanaian signed by the club in the transfer window, joining ex-Ashantigold midfielder Kadiri Mohammed.
He made his debut in the season opener against Sabail FK on Friday. September 12, 2025.
