Dutch-Ghanaian defender Avery Appiah delivered a standout performance as his precise assist sealed Jong Ajax’s 1â0 win away to Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie.
In a tight game at TenCate Stadion De Herdgang, Appiah’s quality in the final third made the difference on a night when Ajax had to be disciplined without the ball.
The decisive moment arrived in the 57th minute, when Appiah surged forward from right-back and picked out Don O’Niel, who finished clinically to put Jong Ajax ahead.
