Black Satellites team very good despite U20 AFCON elimination – Kofi Adams
Ghanas Sports and Recreation Minister, Kofi Adams, has praised the Black Satellites despite their recent quarter-final exit from the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. The teams journey ended in heartbreak after a 2-2 draw that led to a penalty shootout defeat, dashing their hopes of qualifying for the U-20 World Cup in Chile, a stage they have missed since 2015.However, Adams believes the squad has significant potential and should be kept together for future tournaments.Speaking at a meeting with the Ghana Olympic Committee, the Buem Constituency Member of Parliament highlighted the importance of continuity in youth development. He stressed that with a few strategic additions, the current U-20 side could mature into a formidable U-23 team, potentially securing qualification for the Olympics.Adams noted, I believe that it is a team that when you keep it with few additions, they will grow to become the U-23 that will be participating in the Olympics [qualification].
