Ghanaian striker Carl Davordzie found the net to help Sepsi OSK secure a 2-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest on matchday 21 of Romania’s Liga II.
Davordzie sealed the win in the 80th minute with a well-taken header, rising at the near post to connect with a precise cross from teammate Alin TechereÈ.
The goal marked his second for Sepsi OSK since joining the club in January from CSM CeahlÄul, where he spent two seasons. Both of his goals have come during the play-offs as Sepsi continue their push for promotion to the Romanian top flight.
The 25-year-old is enjoying his most productive campaign to date, with a combined tally of 12 goals and two assists this season following his move from the Italian lower divisions.
Sepsi OSK currently sit second in the standings and remain firmly on course for promotion to the Superliga.
Davordzie will be aiming to play a key role in achieving that target, having previously seen a similar opportunity disrupted by injury during his time at Parma.
