Charlton Athletic sign London City Lionesses midfielder Partido on loan

Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of midfielder Paula Partido on a season-long loan deal from neighbours London City Lionesses.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 21-year-old midfielder joins Charlton Athletic in a bid to experience regular Barclays Women’s Super League football. The youngster joined London City Lionesses from Real Madrid in 2025 but she is yet to feature for The Pride in the English top flight. She spent the first half of last season out on loan at Spanish Liga F Moeve side Logroño United as she furthered her development in her homeland.

On the international stage, Partido has represented Spain at various youth levels up to and including Under-20 level.

After joining Charlton Athletic on loan Partido said “I’m really happy to be here. I can’t wait to get started with the season. I’m very happy to also meet all the fans, and I can’t wait for that.

“It’s really good. I’ve been training for two days, and it’s really good – the training ground and the stadium – all the people there are really nice, so I’m very happy.”

Partido is Charlton Athletic’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
