It was reported over the weekend that Chelsea were on the verge of a deal to sell Tyrique George to Everton, and that deal has inched closer today with the news from various sources that the winger has completed his medical.
George makes move to Everton with Premier League hopes rising

George spent the second half of last season on loan with the Toffees and clearly impressed. While they didn’t end up activating his buy option at £25m, they’ve effectively paid the same in a more structured way.
Bobby Vincent of Football.London reports that George will move for £18m up front, with a further £6m in add-ons to come. Crucially, there’s also a 15% sell on clause for Chelsea, meaning we could yet make quite a bit more than the £25m we would have got from the clause.
He showed plenty off the bench for David Moyes’ team last season, and will hope that this year sees him able to work his way into the coach’s starting plans. From Chelsea’s perspective, the academy product is an injection of “pure profit” to move things in the right direction financially.
In other news…
Real Madrid’s public statement that they aren’t looking to sign Enzo Fernandez was a pretty earth-shaking moment in Chelsea’s summer transfer plans.
Granit Xhaka is being pursued by Chelsea, but Sunderland are very resistant to selling their captain, and have been “irritated” by our low ball bids for their star so far.
