CONCACAF Nations League groups, key details revealed

The 2026-27 CONCACAF Nations League groups and matchups have been determined.

Groups for Leagues A, B, and C were revealed on Thursday during CONCACAF’s draw for the upcoming competition. The U.S. Men’s National Team, Mexico, Canada, and Panama have already clinched spots into November’s quarterfinal round of League A after being the federation’s top-four ranked teams.

In League A, each team will play four matches during the September and October international window against teams in its group, with two of those coming at home and two happening away. The top-two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinal round, joining the USMNT, Mexico, Canada, and Panama.

Teams that finish third and fourth in the League A groups will advance to the 2027 CONCACAF Gold Cup preliminary round, while the teams finishing fifth and sixth will be relegated to League B and advance to the Nations League Play-In Round.

The Nations League Play-In will see the fifth and sixth-placed teams from both League A groups, as well as the three League C group winners and the best League C runner-up. The four ties will be played over two legs on a home-and-away basis, with the winners also advancing to the Gold Cup preliminary round.

League A’s quarterfinal round will take place over two legs between November 9-17, with the winners advancing to March’s Final Four. The four quarterfinal winners will qualify directly for the Gold Cup while the four quarterfinal losers will advance to the Gold Cup preliminary round.

Among the headlining League A pairings were Costa Rica, Haiti, and Curacao in Group A while Jamaica, Honduras, and Suriname were paired together in Group B.

As for League B, the four group winners will seal promotion into League A for the 2028-29 edition of the tournament, advance to the League B Finals, as well as clinch berths into the Gold Cup next summer. The three group winners from League C will be promoted to League B for the 2028-29 edition and also advance to the League C Finals.

It will mark the first time in the tournament’s history that Leagues B and C have finals.

Mexico are the reigning champions from League A after defeating Panama 2-1 in the Final back in March 2025.
