Matheus Cunha can’t stop scoring for Wolves this season with the forward opening the scoring against Leicester City on Saturday.
Cunha converted from Rayan Ait-Nouri’s cross to score his 15th Premier League goal of the campaign.
The 25-year-old’s performances have been a key factor in Wolves’ survival, with Vitor Pereira’s team one of the most improved teams in the division in recent weeks.
Cunha’s latest goal has also equalled a Premier League record. No Brazilian has ever scored more goals in a single Premier League campaign, with Cunha having levelled the landmark set by former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino (2017/18) and Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli (2022/23).
Highest scoring Brazilians in a single Premier League season
- Roberto Firmino (Liverpool, 2017/18) Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal, 2022/23) Matheus Cuna (Wolves, 2024/25) – 15
- Robinho (Manchester City, 2008/09) Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City, 2019/20) – 14
