Draw against FC Ashantigold not a fair result – Kotoko boss Hamza Obeng

Asante Kotoko interim head coach Hamza Obeng has described the teams draw against FC Ashantigold as an unfair result, insisting that his side should have amassed all three points from the Ghana Premier League contest. The Porcupine Warriors locked horns with the Miners at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday to renew their rivalry in week eight of the ongoing league campaign. After a pulsating encounter that produced two stunning goals, both teams settled for a 1-1 draw and picked up a point each.Speaking in his post-match interview, Hamza Obeng claimed that his team did enough to merit the maximum points. Its not a fair result. For us we started well, from building from behind and building the play but at some part we missed our way. At halftime we talked to the players, and in the second half we started playing better. They controlled the build-up from behind and created chances. Its better drawing than losing. So now we need to prepare and make sure we go all out to pick three points in our next match, Hamza Obeng said. With the FC Ashantigold match out of the way, Asante Kotoko will return to Kumasi to prepare for their next league match against defending champions Medeama SC.
