The first champions have already been decided in CoinPoker’s Battle of Malta Online series, a festival carrying a combined $30 million in guarantees across its schedule.
A strong first weekend, capped by the $1,000,000 CoinMillion, has set the tone heading into a stretch of marquee events still to come, including physical trophies and a batch of live seats to the Battle of Malta Autumn Edition.
A $1,000,000 Field Produces The Series’ Biggest Result So Far

The largest prize pool awarded in Battle of Malta Online to date came from the $215 CoinMillion, which guaranteed seven figures for its winner. A player known as “monc” navigated the field to the title, banking $121,500 for the win, along with a physical trophy and a digital equivalent added to their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet.
The closing stages weren’t without tension.
The rest of the CoinMillion top five also cashed for substantial sums:
- 2nd: n7v7rcapp7d – $77,100.00
- 3rd: JohnnieTsunami – $55,800.00
- 4th: IdiOtsudaDavai – $40,600.00
- 5th: LappyPoker7 – $29,800.00
A deal was discussed near the end of the tournament but ultimately rejected, and the player behind that proposal, JohnnieTsunami, busted out not long afterward. CoinPoker has already floated the idea of making CoinMillion a fixture of its regular schedule going forward, pointing to its strong reception both here and in an earlier appearance during World Poker Masters.
A smaller-stakes companion event, the $55 Mini CoinMillion, went to “shipitplz” for $20,000 during the same opening stretch, while other players have been quietly building toward the festival’s bigger events through the satellite system rather than chasing headlines of their own.
A Handful Of Other Titles Already Decided
CoinMillion carried the week’s biggest storyline, but several other champions have already been crowned elsewhere on the schedule. The Valletta 8-Max went to “agarrolaocho” for $39,002.46, the $150 CoinMasters Bitcoin event was won by “Vorr” for $39,764.14, and “BAAAAMBINOOOO” claimed the $320 Dark Knight PKO for $18,341.63.

The Festival’s Biggest Events Are Still On The Way
Despite the early results, most of Battle of Malta Online’s headline tournaments haven’t been played yet.
One ongoing thread running through the series is the Champions Trials leaderboard, which awards live packages to the Battle of Malta Autumn Edition simply for entering tournaments week to week. Roughly 50 more of these packages remain to be given away before the online portion of the festival wraps. The live event itself is scheduled for October 27 through November 4, with a $2,000,000 guarantee attached.

The $2,500,000 Main Event
CoinPoker’s flagship tournament, the $565 Main Event, guarantees $2,500,000 and runs a string of Day 1 flights at 17:30 UTC through the week before converging into a single Day 2 on August 3. Entry is also available through $55 satellites for players who’d rather buy in cheaper. Whoever wins it will receive a trophy distinct from every other award handed out during the series.
Main Challenger And Main Crusader
For players chasing a stronger guarantee relative to buy-in, the $55 Main Challenger carries a $500,000 guarantee, one of the better ratios anywhere in the festival. Running alongside it, the $11 Main Crusader offers a $100,000 guarantee at an even lower entry point. Both hold daily Day 1 flights at 17:30 UTC.
CoinMasters BTC High Roller
The $1,500 CoinMasters BTC High Roller, part of CoinPoker’s established CoinMasters lineup, guarantees $1,000,000. Two flights, 1A and 1B, have already run, with 1C and 1D still ahead. Its eventual winner will receive both a gold-plated CoinMasters coin and a physical trophy shipped directly to them.
The Iron Throne
One of the series’ more prestigious high-roller titles, the $5,200 Iron Throne, returns with a $400,000 guarantee spread across a two-day structure on July 26 and 27.
Regs Of The Round Table
The $530 Regs of the Round Table carries a $200,000 guarantee and is expected to draw a notable contingent of recognizable poker names, among them Bencb, Kelvin Kerber, Jeremy Ausmus, and Patrick Leonard, alongside other CoinPoker-affiliated players. Two smaller versions run in parallel, a $55 buy-in with a $75,000 guarantee and an $11 buy-in guaranteeing $20,000, with trophies awarded across all three.
What’s Left On The Schedule
Between the trophy events, the Champions Trials packages, and the daily satellite structure feeding into the bigger tournaments, there’s still plenty of ground left to cover before Battle of Malta Online concludes. With the $2,500,000 Main Event, $1,000,000 CoinMasters BTC High Roller, $500,000 Main Challenger, and $400,000 Iron Throne all still to be decided, the series’ biggest moments haven’t happened yet.
